Some of our events are conducted live and in real time at a stated time and date. Other events are recorded in advance and posted as on-demand media you can use on your schedule. Also, almost all of our live events are recorded so they can be made available as on-demand media for those who miss the live performance.
Live events can be audio-only, full video or audio/graphics from things like PowerPoint presentations. Our production workflow captures the output of the origination devices and encodes the resulting media with high-quality compression. The compressed live media is then up-linked to our streaming media servers that serve the live stream to multiple people.
The media players embedded in our web pages display the live streaming media from our servers. When an end user launches the media player, the user joins the stream in progress.
In addition to streaming media, our live events can also include social applications that allow viewers to comment on the streams and share with their friend/followers on their social network services.
On-demand events are recorded in advanced, edited in post-production and encoded. The resulting compressed media is then uploaded to our streaming media servers.
End users can access the media whenever they wish; viewers use the media when their schedules allow.
