A structured group course has been organized for members of the Christian Church in the Southwest (CCSW) that will allow clergy and laity from the region to take Dr. Dick Hamm's "Recreating the Church: Leadership for The Post-Modern Age” online together as a group. The group is open to both clergy and laity and all are welcome to register and participate.

Group Class Beginning August 25th for Congregational Transformation Training for Members of the CCSW Region

A structured group course has been organized for members of the Christian Church in the Southwest (CCSW) that will allow clergy and laity from the region to take Dr. Dick Hamm's "Recreating the Church: Leadership for The Post-Modern Age" online together as a group. The course consists of five video-on-demand sessions and five fully-interactive sessions with Dr. Hamm.

The group is open to both clergy and laity and all are welcome to register and participate.

This group class will be delivered via online learning technologies and all that you need to participate is to have a web browser capable of running Adobe Flash and have a broadband Internet connection. Participants will be able to take the course and fully participate in the class from their homes or offices.

In addition to all of the standard features and functions of TransformingTheChurch.org's fully-interactive courses, this group provides special group pricing and additional interactive features for the group. All members of this group will also have access to a virtual Private Room that will be reserved for the members of the group to discuss local and/or regional issues.

The first interactive session of the group class will begin August 25, 2011 at 8pm CDT and continue meeting online each week for a total of five weeks. Each week, students will view one video-on-demand session and participate in one fully-interactive session with Dr. Hamm.

Registration is online and now open. Early registrants can access the virtual classroom immediately and begin viewing the video-on-demand sessions. Late registration for this class will close September 1st.

The discounted group fee for the class is $102.69 per participant.

Recreating the Church: Leadership for the Post-Modern Age

This five-session course helps us make sense of the new context in which we of the church find ourselves, provides practical models by which to understand how our congregations need to change, describes a visioning process by which we can discover what God is calling the church to be and do now, and provides practical advice and counsel to those who provide leadership for change.

This is an online course composed of five high-quality video-on-demand sessions and five one-hour fully-interactive sessions with Dr. Hamm. In addition, participants have an online learning community to discuss classes and topics with each other under the supervision of Dr. Hamm. As a bonus, the course includes a sixth video-on-demand session that is a music concert by John Tracy singing songs about change. The full course is conducted over a period of five weeks.

This course is based on Dr. Hamm's book of the same title, TCP Leadership Series, Chalice Press, 2007, supplemented by up to date findings from recent consultation, which is used as the class textbook for the course.
