e-Newsletter - Volume 4, Number 3 The Virtual Classroom for "Reaching People Under 40 While Keeping People Over 60" with Eddie Hammett is now open and ready for use. The first video-on-demand session has been posted and is ready to view. This course is based on Eddie's book of the same name from Chalice Press. If you have not yet registered for this class, online registration is also open and you have seven days before the first live conference call. Please register today! If have already registered, please log in and begin the class. The first live conference to discuss the first video will be a week from today. Please view the video this week so you are prepared to ask questions and discuss the video with Eddie and the rest of the class when we meet in the conference call. Reaching People Under 40 While Keeping This course introduces eight basic principles of being church for all generations. How can a congregation effectively address the spiritual and faith community needs so a win/win situation is experienced for all? It is possible. Join us for these five video classes. Participants will discover how to build conversation among different generations, to make shifts without making waves as values are explored for all generations that can open the door to effective ministry. About This Course This course is entirely online; no travel is required and all you need to participate is an web browser and a suitable broadband Internet connection. The course is conducted over a period of five weeks. In this period, each student will watch the week's video-on-demand lecture and then meet together via a live interactive conference call to discuss the week's assignment with Eddie and other members of the class as well as ask any questions you might have. TransformingTheChurch.org and Christian College are collaborating with The Columbia Partnership to bring leaders and champions a series of online courses to prepare congregations to engage in transitions and changes that may lead to their transformation.
